The ZSPEC Design story

An underserved enthusiast community

The concept for ZSPEC started in 2006 as our founders wanted clean, simple updates for their personal JDM sports cars.

There wasn't anything on the market of quality.

Pen met paper as we designed our first dress-up hardware concepts that could be used for automotive and general project purposes as well.

The first products launched

Some may wonder about our name, and yes, it started with the Nissan Z cars. "ZSPEC" was a nod to the "JSPEC" enthusiast term - little did we know the company would cater hundreds of models across numerous makes.

Dress Up Hardware Kits (Dress Up Bolts, Dress Up Washers and other hardware) for the 300zx, 350z and other models launched along with other popular vehicles.

This began our journey offering the best colors, materials and styles available.

Fueling Growth through customer service and dealers

Our early dealer-channel network began evolving our direct-to-consumer reach with dealers here in the U.S., Australia, Europe and Canada.

The ZSPEC Design moniker is reaching into bigger markets across the globe and car communities.

The brand became more known across models and in new regions.

Selling Channels expanded with ebay, amazon and others

The product catalog started to grow more rapidly and website integrations into channels like EBAY and Amazon

Additional lines of products for custom products for NLA interior panels, bezels, clips and other components.

ZSPEC became "more" than just a dress-up hardware company.

Additions of radio-panels, door handle plastics, and sports car t-top bezels are among some of the new catalog additions that were in development.

Products covering 200+ Models

Fast-forward 10-Years and ZSPEC has 200+ vehicle-specific kits, a complete Stainless & Titanium Dress Up Hardware Catalog (Bolts/Fasteners, Washers, other components) and a variety of custom dress-up and functional products.

Expansion necessitated a new location which opened in Fall of 2024 in Concord, Ohio.

ZSPEC continues to grow and evolve - shipping hundreds of orders per week all over the globe and is a leading name in the "Dress Up" Hardware & Accessories segment.
